Scream Queen

For this assignment, we were tasked with creating two sets of rhyming pairs. This is my Scream Queen collage. I wanted to emphasize the humor in the piece, so I played around by enlarging the eyes and mouth dramatically. Even though I initially approached the piece with a more graphic style, I found that incorporating collage elements added an extra layer of humor that I really enjoyed.

Flower Power

This is the second half of my rhyming words assignment. This is my flower power graphic image. It was definitely a journey for me, as you can see from the initial sketches to the final image. Originally, I had plans to incorporate shading, but in the spirit of creating a more graphic impact, I opted to ditch it and went for a bold approach instead. I pulled inspiration from Rosie the Riveter as I felt she was a prime example of power, which influenced and shaped the direction of my design.
